Supporters of Student Data Principles
Information storage is an official supporter of the 'Student Data Principle', which represents a milestone effort by major national education associations and other organizations to guide the use and protection of student information. Supporters agree to adhere to 10 sharing principles to guide their data policies and practices, and ensure the protection of student information for use in supporting students.
How do we work with verification requesters
Student Information Storage Center requires all verification requesters to prove that the student or alumnus has applied for employment or products or services that rely on their identity. The requester also agrees not to republish degree data to third parties (unless the requester is a background check company that publishes data to its employer clients).
Student Information Storage Center only publishes information that confirms an individual's degree and educational background. We do not confirm the accuracy of the address or social security number provided by the requester. To further ensure security and privacy, we audit and track the identity of the requester, including their Internet Protocol address (IP address) and phone number.
